Hi Everyone,
My name is Bill and I play as a number of characters in SWTOR. Since launch I've planned on joining a guild (much like in other games) but I wanted to make certain that it was one that I would fit in well with. I've seen a number of people running around with the TOG tag and straight away it seemed like something that just made sense. Without further ado, on to the questions.
1. What games are you currently play/looking to play with TOG?
Star Wars: The Old Republic
2. What was the first machine you played games on or pen and paper game you played?
Atari ST back in 1985. When my father brought it home I was a young kid and the man two doors down assured us that this beast would never need more than the 1 megabyte of ram that we'd purchased. (Traditionally it came with only half a meg, but my father bought for the future.lol) I fell in love with computers that year.
3. Why do you want to join TOG?
I'm looking for a guild that is fun and friendly, but also has a similar mindset or lifestyle as myself. I'm 33 and while I'd love to still call myself a hardcore player (still camping in Guk for the FBSS til sanity breaks, or powering to be first on the server with the druid epic) those days are gone. I've got responsibilities which shunt me into the Casual category but my interest at having fun and achieving something with fellow guildmates still burns strong.
4. Tell us about yourself or anything else you'd like to share.
Like I said, I'm 33 years old. I've primarily worked in Information Technology but recently was laid off due to a corporate buy-out which shutdown our San Francisco headquarters and moved it to Dubai. (Eh, it happens.) I'm currently actively pursuing a transition into law enforcement. I want to make a difference in people's lives. My family is primarily populated by firefighters and that kind of work just pulls us in. Of course my brother is a booze-slinger, but we don't need to dwell on that.
I guess all I can say is I'm looking to have fun, make some new friends and help out in whatever way I can. Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings.
