Hello, I am applying for membership for SWTOR. I do meet the age requirements (I'm 39--gasp!) and I think I meet the requirements for gaming style, and overall philosophy of a group called "Older Gamers".

I didn't know you guys existed (dunno why) until this game, but I've been gaming for a long time. I've seen you around The Jekk'Jekk Tar server and often wondered about you. I've been mostly solo there or with my husband (who will probably also apply). We did join a guild that sounded like a good fit for us, but they misrepresented themselves or else didn't know how they'd be playing once the game came out. In any case, they aren't as good a fit as we'd have hoped.

Anyway, to answer your other items for membership, I've been playing video games since Atari first came out in the 70's. When computer gaming came out, I was probably the only girl anyone knew who could frag with the best boys in Quake or Duke Nukem. I like single-player strategy games as well as RTS games like Age of Wonders, World of Warcraft, etc. I also like historical simulations. I played EQ (my first On-line gaming experience) and then WoW, CoH, D&D Online (not for very long...it sucked), and now SWTOR.

I am also a table-top pen and paper gamer. I started with D&D (2nd and mostly 3rd editions), but I've also played Shadowrun, World of Darkness (vampire and werewolf) and Heroes System games. Currently my group plays a D&D style fantasy game in the Heroes System because we have totally out-grown D20 style games. We switch off with World of Darkness and a Space game using the Heroes mechanics but set in the Mass Effect universe...with a little Star Wars thrown in for color and flavor.

As you can see, I like to game.

Play times for us are evenings and Sundays (Pacific Time)--on Saturdays, we do table-top gaming, so are only on in the morning to mid-afternoon.
I am a much more casual gamer than my husband. I like to group and help people but not to raid or do mass combat. I have no aversion to PVP, but haven't tried it much in SWTOR.

My primary Republic character is Terria, a Vanguard. My secondary republic character is Debrhia, a Sage.

My Imperial character is Pashnari, an Assassin.

My husband, when he applies, is Crispin on the Republic side.
