Hello everyone,
My name's Samuel, feel free to call me by it. I've been playing World of Warcraft since release, and having the many alts MMOs tend to inspire has left me with far too many monikers to list. I'd actually taken some time off WoW, but my good friend Allen (Skunky) beguiled me into coming back when he discovered TOG and the prospect of something like a reliable guild! In honor of the opportunity, I've rolled a shiny, new human paladin with the wonderfully cliched name Truegold.

I'm a big fan of strategy games - table-top, computer, turn-based and rts. - particularly base-builders. That, and a love of fantasy made Warcraft II, then Warcraft III and finally WoW major parts of my collection. Starcraft, Age of Kings, Age of Mythology are all other outstanding games. On the more strategic side: Men of War, Total War, SimTown, etc., heh.

I was big on Magic: The Gathering, but haven't played in several years.
I've never played Dungeons and Dragons table-top, but would dearly love to. I was introduced to it through the Wizards of the Coast: Penny Arcade and PVP podcasts.

If you'd like a fun-fact: when not working or playing, I'm going to college to get a Software Engineering degree. In a perfect world, I would've gotten it several years ago - but I had this horrible realization that all of my peers were becoming software engineers, so I opted for medicine. Then, when I realized college-level chemistry was beyond me, I opted for history. Eventually, the head of the history department admitted to me that History is a mug's game, so I went for my childhood love of software dev. and damned the consequences!
