Hello folks. First the formal bit -

"...we need you to confirm that you are over 25 years of age, and have read our AUP and FAQ"

I am and I have. I also agree to be bound by the AUP while I'm a member.

"We would also like to know which games you are interested in and what you are hoping to play with TOG"

I'm currently a WoW player, but I dabble in RTS, RPG, EVE Online and am rather looking forward one or two of the new MMORPGs on the horizon. Yes, I too am wondering what life as a pirate will be like... shiver mi timbers, matey.

"Some idea of your geographical location and the times that you play will also help."

I'm a UK resident currently, playing in the evenings mostly and some weekend play (ad hoc). In brief, I'm a 35 year old director of a manufacturing company (anyone need a container load of coffee filters, you now know where to come). I have a partner who I've known since I was at university, but we've been a couple for only two years now. She's wonderful, and I'm supremely lucky to have her remotely interested in me. She also plays WoW with me, and the occasional RTS, by the way. We have no children, but plan to change that in the next couple of years. Generally, I'm a 'regular kind of chap'.

I hope that gives everyone a taste of who I am. Feel free to drop me a line to say hi.

Once an admin comes along & makes you a full member, you'll have access to all the forums, so drop into which ever you are interested & let yourself be known.

I'll have a chat with her when I'm back home tonight. Hopefully we can both be productive members of the TOG community.

I'm interested in particular on trying some multi-player gaming with VoIP - my partner and I are both in the same room when we game, and love to talk back and forth about tactics and the such like. I'm hopeless at typing and playing at the same time. Generally I play, chat, play, cha... die. I've generally avoided grouping on-line with other people as a result, which seems a real pity.
