TOG - The Older Gamers

I am interested in joining TOG community. I am 55 and love playing the historical games online and offline. I also have two sons one 31 and one 27 who love to play the same ones and live 250 miles and we play together whenever we can 'hookup'. Lately we have become frustrated with the games as it seems the gamers we play against get better and better and we just don't have the time to devote to practice etc. as these other gamers must as they seem very good. We wonder who these people are at times that they are so good and fast. I read about TOG in our local paper and thought this might be my kind of thing.
I work in a very large production facility as a systems tech. I keep equipment running when there are problems and my main troubleshooting tool is a computer. Games I play are MOHAA, COD, CFS3, BF1942, BFV, & Brothers-In-Arms and oh I just got Kuma Wars. I would love to play with people of my own category instead of these much younger (and faster) teens who seem to have the time to play a lot.

Hi there, Mad_Yank. Nice to hear your interested in TOG. You should read the FAQ and AUP (look in the "potential new members" sticky) and mention that you have read them here. Then someone will come along and TOGgerize you. Welcome aboard.

Ok great! I await official membership status. BTW, I have read the FAQ/AUP and I'm in the US Central Time Zone. I like to play evenings and weekends when able in my busy schedule. I like to play with my sons especially. Thanks for your consideration.

Get them to join as well if they haven't yet. Our US guys have heaps of teams you can join. Are you going to get BF2 and COD2 as they are the flavour of the month??
