Potential new TOGger?
Hello everyone,
My name is John. I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am a mere 40 years old, but still stuck in my youth where games are concerned. I obsess about first person shooter games; purchasing them on the day of release, foregoing food and sleep, and finishing them two days later. I need help! I can't keep on going like this! obsessive-compulsive springs to mind! Between releases of games I tried on-line gaming. Starting a year or so ago when Americas Army was released. It was great to be playing against real human beings rather than computer bots, but I was quickly scared off after the seamingly relentless abuse of so many of the other players. If you did something wrong you were harangued as a 'stupid newbie', and when you got something right you were accused of cheating! I haven't been back for any abuse since then, but now, older and wiser, I would like the opportunity to find some people of a more mature nature to play against. I'm sure I would find a far better class of abuse! I'm not too sure which games I would want to play on-line. So, suggestions would be appreciated and a little 'hand holding' wouldn't go amiss - you know, I am still a little nervous and apprehensive following my experience with the Americas Army 12 year olds ( Surely, I wasn't like that when I was 12?) By-the-way, I have read the rules and FAQ and agree to abide by them. Regards John |

Howdy, JFY. Welcome aboard the TOGtrain to gameland. I'm a BattleField 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004 player myself, but every one has individual tastes. I'm sure you can find folks to match your game bent here. Check out some of the forums as that may help you decide which set of us whackos scare you the least.

Oh and if you dare to enter the World of Azeroth (Warcraft) than you must go on the pvp server Dunemaul and talk with The Old Garrison folks. It doesnt get much crazier anywhere, believe me
