I have read the AUP and the FAQ. The AUP if followed to the tea is cool because I like the fact that newbies are not zeroed out. I am interested in playing half life the first one, war craft 2 & 3, counter strike, diablo 1 & 2 I have not play the lord one, rainbow six: raven shield and I would like to see what the others games are like that you have divisions for.

I from winnipeg manitoba and my time zone is -6. I am currently a student taking computer anylist/programmer. I live at home right now and have no girlfriend.

I have played war craft 2 & 3, diablo 1, and am pretty good at them. I have also played raven shield a bit but have and I just started playing half life. I have not played diablo 2 counter strike yet. I am looking to try and use my half life key for steam to try out counter strike the full version because if I get into the game and only get to a sureten level and can't contiue it discurrages me from wanting to play it any more.

I will be playing diablo soon after I get the no-cd patch to work because a friend uses my disc so we can LAN with diablo. I am called by my friends as Your Fellow Tech Guy because I help them so much with the computers and know so much about them. I am not trying to boast about my skills at all. I love to do anything and ever thing to do with computers. Oh I forgot I have tried battle field 1942 secret weapon a little bit and would be interested in playing it more.

I hope that I can join this great community so I can try playing the game said above on a network or mmop.

Jack, yer honesty is really appreciated M8, however the one hard and fast rule here in TOG for membership requirements is to be over 25YO. I hope it's not too long 'til yer 25th birthday 'coz you really sound like you belong here and I for one look forward to yer post statin' that you've just turned 25!!

why do you have the age restriction set at 25 years old? Is it because that is the age restriction in Austrila?

No, it's an age decided on for the sake of trying to maintain a certain maturity level at TOG. Even though there are people under this age who are very mature and some over this age who are immature, it's the best solution to this issue without an exhaustive psyche profile and interview process which would be too time/labor/money intensive to be feasible. Please don't take this as a reflection on our view of you, it's just one of the rules we have to adhere to to be fair to everyone. Please feel free to post in the public areas and get to know us and we'll be happy to bring you in when you hit 25.

I do not see things at that way I was just possible wondering why it was set at that age group. I would to continue to post in the public forum offer help if needed and hope to get help if possible. Thank you very much for your help.

No, we have a strict age limit of 25 as this is how we choose to measure maturity. Yes there are more mature younger people and less mature older people, but that is the metric we use.

You are welcome to still use the public forums until you turn 25, at which time let us know and we can see about making you a member.
