Hello TOG,
My current screen name (and main) is Gusuku in GW2. I am on the Yak's Bend server and game about 8 hours per week. My main is almost at 80 and I'm looking forward to running dungeons soon.
I have played a handful of MMOs since EverQuest really got me hooked. After EQ, I played WoW from release to WotLK and was a raid captain in a progressive guild pushing Molten Core to Sunwell (and all raid instances in between).
My first love of gaming came in DnD Red Box. Do you remember having to color the polyhedral dice with the small white piece of wax included? Well, I do. My friends and I played that game semi-regularly while in high school. We were into games so much that we started making our own homebrews. One of my friends was later published even.
I've had the gambit of computers throughout the ages, starting with a C64 (of which I banked hours upon hours in Elite). Except for a stint from 89-91 with Nintendo, I'm not really into non-keyboard consoles.
I am hoping to join the guild for two reasons:
(1) First and foremost, my RL friends are in the guild and on the same server in GW2.
(2) Secondly, I hope to find good peeps for dungeon raids (thus TOG).
(3) And finally, (I know I said there were only two, but hey, I can change my mind without editing right?) I am impressed that this is an adult guild so I wouldn't have to deal with child drama and always being called in to mediate something (sorry GIFT...but you know it's true).
Something else about myself...Hmmm, I joined the Marines in 1990. Thus, I am not easily offended--unless you dis the Corps, then I'll have to send R. Lee Ermey your way to, umm, correct you.
PS, Although i used an emoticon (and apparently used a lowercase I a few words back), I am not 13.
