Hi All,
First of all I'm an USAian and speak Amglish. So, please pardon my butchering of the English Language
I am joining the gaming world again and reentering LOTRO. I had a nice chat with Underdacks on the Elendilmir Server. She/he is part of The Osgiliath Guard and I was on my BeKind Toon (madprops to Underdacks -- great representation of the Kin). I'm quite excited about what I have read here and what you represent. I'm 42 and seek a more mature crowd. However my attempts at doing this in past and just recently has often been met with great people but also with too small of communities (e.g., no one online) and/or met with ./facepalms from when I type the word, "crap." I think you get the idea of the "Goldilocks" metaphor and how this community looks to be "just right!"
I just rolled Am
boodoor and will be roaming Middle-Earth.
I hope after some time to branch out into other games. LOTRO was the first I ever used a Mic in my life. I first played games on my cousins Tandy "some1000" PC (1978?). I remember actually using the internet then and getting him in trouble for telling his mom about it (i.e.,expensive long distance phone call), LOL. Don't get excited, it was just "text" and I was like big deal why my cousin was like, "this is huge!" If only I had known, right?
By no means am I huge gamer, lifestyle wise. More of a recreational player cause I am mostly home bound and don't have much access to people in real life. I may, though, put in the time sink...
As far as other games, I may want to branch out to my Steam Collection or pick up others. The only games that have really captured my interest has been Castle Wolfentein's Enemy Territory, Baldur's Gate and LOTRO.
Go for the eyes Boo!
Cheers!
