Greetings all!

First, let me say, fantastic idea for a clan/community of older gamers. I wish I'd found you earlier. I've looked over your website and find it to be well organized and extensive, with a large group of people spread over many games/genres. Congratulations.

Now, for the goods...

I, Bonkman, hereby formally request admission into your stellar community. With all rights and privileges obtained therein, to include use of the clan tag (-TOG-). I have read, agree, concur, and am happy with the AUP & TOG FAQ.

Now that that's over...

I am currently 34 years of age, in good health, and married with one daughter (also 2 dogs, 2 goldfish, 1 dwarf hamster, ...and a partridge in a pear tree).

I currently work mids (graveyard shift, midnight to 8am) for a U.S. Air Force contractor (InDyne, Inc. WROCI - be sure to check out the "This is Vandenberg Air Force Base" video halfway down the page) at Vandenberg AFB in California. I served with the U.S. Air Force for 7 3/4 years as a Communications-Systems Computer Operator (3C0X1) and separated in Nov 1997.

My normal gaming hours are 9am to 1pm and 7pm to 11pm Pacific (CA) time, but I can be on almost any time of the day.

Past clan associations were (games associated with clan marked below):
2+ years: [PIE] Poe Is Easy (don't ask...well, okay, do ask ) - Still have occasional contact with a few members
1+ years: |CotA| Council of the Ancients - no longer "tagged"

Both clans were non-competition/"for fun" clans and were great for just socializing. All the members of [PIE] just kind of floated away to various other games. |CotA| just sort of disolved once the main leaders decided their interests would be better served by joining a raid clan.

Online games I have and/or play:

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - [PIE] - no longer play
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault - no longer play regularly
Half-Life +mods - no longer play
Half-Life 2 +CS & DoD - no longer play regularly
Guild Wars - haven't played lately
Battlefield Vietnam - [PIE] - no longer play
Call of Duty +expansion - [PIE] - no longer play
Call of Duty 2 - play occasionally
Battlefield 1942 +expansions - [PIE] - play occasionally
Battlefield 2 - play almost every other day - currently parading around as Bonkman9.
World of Warcraft - |CotA| - play just about every day - characters are:
Daxian - Level 51 Human Paladin on Proudmoore (main)
Khaxian - Level 18 Dwarf Warrior on Proudmoore (alt)
Khaxian - Level 20 Troll Rogue on Bonechewer

As you can see above, I'm interested in joining -TOG- mainly in World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2 and maybe Call of Duty 2, but I'd like to leave my options open for other games (if I get the sudden urge to play them).

I've been a diehard gamer ever since the day my father brought home an Atari 2600. I've played or seen just about every arcade machine in existence. I have a natural skill with pinball machines (my favorites being the early 90's Williams machines). I've been online in some form or another since the days of dial-up BBS's in the late 80's. I've been in the online chat community (as Bonkman) since the last days of Quantum Link for the Commodore 64 (which then became AOL) back in 1990/1991. I was "gifted" with my nickname (refering to the main character of Bonk's Adventure for the NEC TurboGraphx 16) by my fellow Air Force dorm mates because I always had my Super Nintendo out and playing. I'm partial to Nintendo consoles as I own all of them except for the VirtualBoy.

I'm going to go ahead and confess something: when I saw your name I immediately thought "I wonder if that's from Bonk's Adventure on the TurboGraphx?" and not only did I not have the game; I never had the freakin' console! How sad is that? Can't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday but my brain still has cells tasked to games I've never played.

My grandma bought me a Tandy TRS80 when I was about 12..so i tought myself programming !.....so many memories...

Yes, the name is from the TG16. I never owned one, but heard interesting things about them.

Yes, yes, yes, I am a retro gamer. I still have a SNES hooked up (the daughter uses it most of the time). My dad still has our old Atari 2600 6-switch heavy and a bunch of games; I play it occasionally when I'm visiting him. Played & programed on our old Apple ][e quite a bit in the 80's. I think my dad still has that around somewhere.
