I've heard of TOG for some time, and finally decided to join an online community for the games I play. For me, TOG just makes sense for my hectic schedule, work, and family(kids/wife). Most of my games I do solo, due to my schedule, but it is always fun when I'm with a group, so I am looking to be with familiar people going forward. Here's a little about me:
-First console was Atari 2600
-Consoles since; NES, Genesis, N64, N Cube, Dreamcast, PSone, PS2,XBox, 360, PS3,Wii, and then all the various handhelds in between.
-First pc was a gateway after I got out of the Air Force in 2001 (didn't know anything about them, or what I was getting (or getting into, lol).
-Around 2005 I got my first laptop, and it was strong enough to play WoW, still didn't know much about computers at the time. That is when my MMO fascination came to be.
-Since then I've learned how to build my own rigs to play the games I want!
-MMO's since my first include; EQ, EQ2, GW, GW2, AoC, WAR;AoR, STOR, Tabula Rasa, Lineage2, CoH, Hellgate, Rift, and more recently Defiance.
-Other games; pretty much anything I can get my hands on, FPS's, TPS's, RPG's, RTS's, etc. Current favorites include Ni No Kuni on PS3, just a great game; The Witcher 1&2, Rift, and Defiance (really looking forward to how Trion and SyFy blend the two together, or if they actually can).
I go by blutenchi for almost every game I play, and it's almost always available. Blu is of course for blue, my favorite color. Tenchi means heaven and earth in Japanese. For me it's blue heaven, simple as that. For most games I roll an alt, and he is bluten, just a shortened version.
I always roll a male toon, cause that's what I am, I don't impersonate, nor will I. Only time I roll a female is when I don't have a choice, I like the siren and mechromancer from Borderlands2, once again, not gender choice.
Play style is going to be primarily questing, and in games with dynamic events, hitting those up as well. I do enjoy running dungeons and raids, along with WvW and RvR type games, but I have to plan those days in advance due to the family, and from what it sounds like on the TOG "about" page, sounds like you do to.
Used to live in Florida, but now I'm in Maine. I'll be heading back to the warm southern shores one day, but not right now cause I do enjoy the snow and the mountains. Either way that will put me in EST or CST for time zones. Currently working days, used to work nights, and when I did I often found myself playing with a bunch of Australians, had a lot of fun in AoC back in those days with good people. Either way, whether I work days or nights, it looks like I'll have someone to play with here at TOG.
Looking forward to playing with you all in the near future.
