Hello, my name is Jeff and I am looking for a casual, non commital and mature group to game with. First off, I should let you know I have read the AUP and TOG FAQ.
Some brief background history on me, after leaving school in 1972 at age 15, I started apprenticeship as a mechanic, not enough money so I joined the railways and qualified as a locomotive driver after 4 years. During this time I joined the Army reserves, I liked it so much I went to permanent army. Served as Infantry initially, then changed to Artillery. Left full time in 95 and rejoined reserves as a transport NCO, a job I still do today (Part time). After leaving full time service I worked in crash repairs un til a year ago and now I just enjoy life with some part time army work to boost income.
My gaming experience, well its been there since I first clapped eyes on a game console / machine. First computer,...Amtrad 464, first game/flight sim jetfighter on same computer. Graphics Anyhow, I continued to move up the ranks of computers till now, I have two. Both capable of playing almost all modern games.
I am currently with RAAF-IL2 and fly in this as a member.
My gaming online has been (most recent first), Joint Ops Typhoon Rising, BF42 & BFV with "Forgotten Hope" & Eve of Destruction" being my favourites, WWII online, and the one that started it all, "Warbirds".
I tend to go through phases, where I play one game more than the others for a period and then go on to another game letting the other one rest, hence my requirement to be non commital.
At present I am looking at "Eve Online", and I see that there are members within TOG who also play this, boy do I have some questions for them
Well I guess that about sums me up in a nutshell.
Cheers, Jeff
PS, My name " Cobra-7" was a call sign for a FAC in the Vietnam conflict.
