I'm an avid RPG / RTS player. I've shied away from MMOs in the past, mostly because of the "grind" nature of the games I've played and realizing the most fun comes from being in a good guild of friends - unfortunately, most of my RL friends are not gamers.
That's where TOG comes in! I'm not entirely sure how I found TOG, but it looks like a great community that I'd be happy to join. I'm 39, based in Toronto, Canada, and looking for some fun gamers to play a few games with.
I'm currently playing Neverwinter (just started a few days ago), Kingdoms of Amalur (loving this game!), Borderlands (with a RL gamer friend who recently got back into gaming - we'd love to have a couple of people join!), and dabbling in a few others. When I'm not gaming, I'm usually watching gaming LPs / streams.
My very first PC was a TI-99 4A. My dad was a tech enthusiast (now that he has retired, he seems to be shying away from tech, sadly), and got me into computers at a young age. At that time, there really wasn't much available - text games and the like, which I mostly had to code myself (with a bit of help from PC mags, etc.) Soon after the C-64 graced our home, and gaming became a big passion! Those were the days.
Looking forward to being part of TOG!
