TOG | JUG

Hello, my name is proph37, and I mostly play COD2, where I like to game with members of TOG on their hosted servers.
Every single member of TOG I have encountered has been friendly, and it has been a pleasure to play alongside and against them.
However, today, I encountered a member by the name of TOG | JUG.
He was unpleasant to say the least.
It started when we were playing some French map and FF was enabled.
Out of nowhere I recieved a shotgun blast right in my back, and I had to wait for myself to respawn. I saw that TOG | JUG had shot me, and I immediately thought, oh he's from TOG, not a noob, it must've been accidental.
Then I watched the replay, TOG JUG had been running behind me, a fair distance back, and with no enemy in sight, he walked up behind me and shot me right in the back, out in the open.
I thought this was a bit suspicious so I asked him why he had done it, if it was indeed an accident or was it deliberate.
He told me very explicitly, in not the kindest of ways, that I shouldn't walk in front of him if I didn't want to be shot. He seemed to claim that I had blocked him somehow. I told him that I hadn't been in his way at all, and that he didn't need to shoot me, to which he just mocked and ridiculed me.

Now I've been thinking of applying to TOG, as I would love the opportunity to regularly game with fellow gamers of my age, but I'd be lying if I said this incident hasn't deterred me.

I guess I have just come to expect better from members of TOG, and I apologise if this post is going to cause any trouble to TOG, but I just think something needs to be said/done to TOG | JUG, in order to prevent him from misrepresenting TOG, a clan which I will still enjoy playing with. So I guess I just needed to let you guys know about JUG, and the way he has acted/been acting. Take care all and have fun

Hey proph37, did you manage to get any screenies of the incident? It just makes it easier to prove any indiscretions that our members may have made.

Also, is this US or Australian servers? Either way, contact ContraVersE, the overall CoD DC via PM with the details so he can investigate and see what if any action is required.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take any screenshots, but I guess you can ask JUG, and if he denies it, well there isn't much I can do.

Hey Proph37. I'm concerned to hear of this sort of behavior from any member of TOG and will investigate I assure you. Please don't let an incident like this deter you from considering membership at TOG either. I have known Jug for some time now and the sort of behaviour you describe is certainly not in character for him, which leads me to think that it may have been someone else using his PC in his household. I know that he lives in an active household with many PC's and lots of Users.

I will get back to you after I've asked some questions.

Yeah it certainly sounds out of character for Jug. Might have been alcohol induced. Feral will investigate...BTW did it only happen the once?

Don't let it discourage you from joining TOG. It's a great place, and our COD Division is full of good and friendly players. the above sort of behaviour is discouraged (unless it's against another TOG )

m8 i am sorry you could'nt see my side of it but i had the flag and was trying too get back with it and i was getting shot.I had on many occaisions tried too get past you to no avail .So yes i did tk you.

He only TK'ed me once, but I recieved a few more shots from him for what I suppose were 'cheeky shots'. I just didn't reply to his taunts, I'm not the sort to provoke anything.

Jug: there was noone near us, let alone shooting at us when you TK'd me. I don't have eyes in the back of my head, so it's a bit hard for me to notice when you're behind me. If I were in your way at the time you shot me, I would have understood, but when I watched the killcam, it wasn't until we were out in the open, where you had plenty of room to get past that you actually lined me up and shot me, that was not a kill made out of necessity, it appeared to be revenge, which is a little disappointing.

I understand that it can be frustrating when you're trying to run the flag home, and I appreciate your apology, but next time just go a little easier I reckon, after all it is a game : \

From the responses that I received from the ones that were actually there, and that did not include the two involved parties, I can honestly say that the situation has, more than likely, been blown out of proportion a bit.

JUG is very vocal on TS, but has never been known to type insults across the screen to anyone. He is far more likely to sign off for a bit to cool down, than to do any of the purported.

The decision to TK you was probably not the best, but was his decision, nonetheless, and he did apologize. I don't want this to turn into a "they say, we say" -situation, but I must mention that it has been reported to me that you did, in fact, exact your revenge on Mr. JUG...many, many times.

While it's clear that there are opposing opinions in this matter, it is unclear to some who were not there as to who is right.

Maturity dictates that the purported behavior is unacceptable, but it also warrants an amicable solution to an obvious misunderstanding through a sincere apology, which was given here. I can only ask all parties to respect each other while playing on TOG servers, and to employ common sense, maturity, and a little patience.

I sincerely hope that you don't allow an isolated incident of misunderstanding to influence your decision to join or not join TOG. With over 6,000 members, there is sure to be a game/style that suits you here.
