My name is Joel. I'm 38 as of last August and have sufficient gray hair to ensure that I never get carded. I've been married 17 years and have three kids ranging from 9 to 15 in age (one of my sons - the 15-year-old - co-runs the C.A.R.E.S.S guild in CoV...his name there is Karonax, a lvl 40 Brute - makes a father proud to have a suitably game-addicted child!). In my spare time, I "work" as the Chief Operating Officer for a formalwear manufacturing company, and as this post's title indicates, I call Utah home.
I'm here to join the TOG guild in DDO; I started playing D&D in the mid-70's and have never stopped. I am a thoroughly addicted computer gamer and gravitate toward RPGs, though I dabble in other genres. My MMO history predates the release of Ultima Online, as I was a beta participant for that. I've since done hard time in SWG, EQ2, WoW, and CoH/CoV.
(this kinda feels like I'm writing a personals ad or something...lol)
I speak fluent German, have been a professional musician since about 1984, I've written a couple fantasy novel manuscripts, one of which is in pre-publication stages (the legal hoop-jumping part), and before becoming the COO for my current company, I was an Oracle DBA for about 12 years.
Finally, for anyone who still doesn't know more about me than anyone should want to, you can read more of my sordid details at

So...having said all that, if I may paraphrase Lennon: "I hope [I] pass the audition."
