Default New Member Application (02-11-06)

Hail and well met! (common greeting in the Forgotton Realms)

My wife and I are looking for a group of mature gamers to play DDO with. We played through Baldurs Gate and NWN together but this is a new breed of game that will require / encourage us to join with others online.

I played WOW for a little over a year (Whoflungdung 52-Tauren druid on Aagramar) but played mostly solo.

I'm 42 and have played a lot of pnp D&D over the years. With two young children that ain't happening for awhile so DDO looks like a perfect place for us to get our game on.

We like to enjoy our game time and work slowly through the quests (even the 2nd or 3rd time through) My wife will play a rogue/fighter using a 2:1 leveling ratio and I'll take a cleric/fighter also leveling at a 2:1 ratio.

We like to explore every nook and cranny the Devs have put together. We've played two 10-day betas and feel confident that DDO will be a fun game to play for quite a while. We're eagerly anticipating NWN2 and I'm also watching LOTRO and CONAN.

I work as a civil engineer and my wife is a stay-at-home mom (which is to say she works harder than I do.) I'll just say that she's over 25 and leave it at that ; ).

There's another group called the Old Timer's Guild that looks as if it will be very active in DDO as well. Do you guys think you'll have a strong contingent in DDO? If so, we'd love to join you in Stormreach.

Please let me know.

Yep, read and reviewed and then forgot to say so. I read and agree to the AUP and read the FAQ. Everything looks in order.

Welcome to TOG bluebacker63!!!

As a minor formality, need you to read the thread titled: "Potential new members: Please READ THIS BEFORE POSTING" near the top of this forum. Also, your wife will need to make a separate application of her own if she wishes to browse the TOG forums - there are many female members here!

Once you have read the TOG Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and FAQ, please post back into this thread declaring so. A TOG Admin will swing by and grant you membership accordingly.

Look forward to seeing you in the forums!

Game on!!!

EDIT:: Ah, you beat me to it, almost there now bluebacker63, a TOG Admin will be by soon!

Hi bluebacker63 - firstly, if your hard working wife would like to join TOG, she will need to do exactly what you have done.

With that out of the way, ..

Welcome to TOG, your application has been reviewed by an administrator and approved.

You will now have full access to all parts of the TOG website.

* All TOG member only forums
* All member only areas of the website

Undoubtedly you want to get started and the best place to start is to visit the main forum for the game in which you are interested, have

a read of the sticky posts and other threads that catch your attention.

Introduce yourself and ask any further questions you may have.
You will find other TOG members most helpful if you take the time to ask any questions you may have.

The social heart of TOG can be found in “The Lounge Room”, where any

topic is being discussed and debated. If you want to know the other TOG members across the whole of TOG visit the Lounge Room.
Want to know when the next real life get together is of TOG members? again the Lounge Room is the place to be.

We sincerely hope that you enjoy TOG for as long as you choose to, feel free to spread the message to your friends and family who enjoy

gaming and don’t forget to have fun yourself!

All the best!
