looking for friends in DDO

Hi TOGgers.
I wish I could apply for TOG membership, but I'm still 2 years from 25.
I'm currently playing L2 full time when not at work or in the field, and I was in the Ravens alliance with the Various TOG clans and members there. I have had alot of fun with them and found them all excellent and share similar playstyles to me. I am posting here, because I am starting in DDO with the headstart event, and would like to know what server TOG plans on playing on there as I would like to run into them again, or maybe even join the guild *wink wink*

Any of the members I have played with in L2 I'm sure would vouch for me. I can't remember them all, but Phalloidin If I remember was the server leader, at least I suppose that's what it would be called. My Char name in L2 is same as my forum name here too Aargas.

*Edit Some info about myself. I'm a Combat Medic in the US Army, Divorced /wo children, currently stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. I have time to play after I get home about 4 hours a day, on average, and more on the weekends.

Unfortunately TOG is quite strict on the age requirement, so you'll have to wait a bit to become a member. 25 is not far away, though, and we'd love for you to chat with us in the public forums. We have numerous people who are friends that aren't members for one reason or another, so stick around. I'll bring this thread to the attention of the DDO area and try to hook you guys up.

Hi bud, thanks for your note.

It's not the first time we have received such a request - but sadly, we do have a no exceptions policy on our age requirement. Even though we know we have people in our community over 25 who are perhaps 'less suitable' than some of those who are not yet of that age, this entry requirement is one of the few things we have that distinguishes our gaming community from many others.

The administrators (including myself) have often discussed relaxing the entry rules for cases such as yours, but we believe that if we do it once, it will create many difficult problems for us. We will then have to assess many applications to try and make some determination of the maturity of the poster - something that is far too subjective, very difficult to be consistent in, and ultimately liable to upset some people.

So I'm very sorry to have to say no. There seems little doubt from your post that you would be a welcome addition to the community - we hope you'll consider us when you turn 25 if you have not already found an online gaming community to settle in by then. Even if you have, I recommend and hope you revisit TOG; we are an ever-growing community and as such can offer many different things to different gamers.

My last comment, as you are an MMO player: many
TOG members don't mind grouping up frequently to game with people outside our membership - you are welcome to continue to use our public forums (the MMORPG one, for instance) to liase with the people you have developed ties with - I'm sure they would continue to enjoy your company in-game, even if communications are restricted by the rules that have been established over who can join our channels/guilds/outfits, etc.
