G'day,

Iwould like to apply to become a member of TOG in the game WoW on the dunemaul realm, Im am 22 yrs old( saw that lvl minimum is 25 so dont know if i even have to bother but a mate of mine told me this was a pretty nice guild/ community) well, my ingame char is Gorlois, lvl 60 warrior.

Dont reallt know what else to write here, cus never really applied to a guild/ community before, but thanks for reading it.

It's not the first time we have received such a request - but sadly, we do have a no exceptions policy on our age requirement. Even though we know we have people in our community over 25 who are perhaps 'less suitable' than some of those who are not yet of that age, this entry requirement is one of the few things we have that distinguishes our gaming community from many others.

The administrators (including myself) have often discussed relaxing the entry rules for cases such as yours, but we believe that if we do it once, it will create many difficult problems for us. We will then have to assess many applications to try and make some determination of the maturity of the poster - something that is far too subjective, very difficult to be consistent in, and ultimately liable to upset some people.

So I'm very sorry to have to say no. There seems little doubt from your post that you would be a welcome addition to the community - we hope you'll consider us when you turn 25 if you have not already found an online gaming community to settle in by then. Even if you have, I recommend and hope you revisit TOG; we are an ever-growing community and as such can offer many different things to different gamers.

Many TOG members don't mind grouping up frequently to game with people outside our membership - you are welcome to continue to use our public forums (the MMORPG one, for instance) to liase with the people you have developed ties with - I'm sure they would continue to enjoy your company in-game, even if communications are restricted by the rules that have been established over who can join our channels/guilds/outfits, etc.
