Post Request for Membership

I am definitely interested in becoming a member.

First the required info:
My name is Scott
I am 39 years of age.
I am currently single and a Manager in Higher Education
I have read the AUP and FAQ and agree to abide by the rules.
D&D On-line

I was turned on to your site from my brother who is already a member. It is nice to see that there are others out there who share my interest in on-line gaming, and my interest in a mature community to connect with.

I am new to MMORPG. I am a long time fan of the PnP version of D&D. I have played most single player computer FRPGs, but have shied away from the MMORPGs because I hate the idea of Player Killers and I am not a big fan of Hack and slash.

My Brothers and I have played Diablo II on-line for a while, but it is repetative and I had lost my interest. D&D on-line seems to offer the challenge we are looking for, and limit the negative that go along with many of the other MMORPGs. I am interested by the notion that you get XP through quests. It also appears that the game will offer interesting challenges for all the character classess. The classes don't just distinguish how you fight, but make a difference in how you complete the objectives in each quest!

I will be playing a Rogue to start. Benowic Shadow Eyes. My brothers are looking to play a Barbarian and a Cleric. Needless to say, we will be looking for companions for later quests - Spell Casters definitely, but I imagine we will welcome the support of the other classes.

Thanks for considering my application for membership.

Scott

Hello, ssinghel, and welcome to TOGland. We just cranked up a forum for DDO, if I'm not mistaken, so you will have some place to perch once you are admitted to members. Also look in on the Lounge, should it strike your fancy, and say hello to the social club.

Welcome to TOG, I am sure an Admin will be along shortly. Please, feel free to let me know what you think about DDO (epecially if you have played WOW) as I am still considering it, and I have not been all that happy with the reviews I've read.
