TOG - The Older Gamers

Greetings!

I posted recently on the World of Warcraft 'Guild Recruitment' forums seeking a guild of older/mature players to grow my skills with. Donel of the Titans of Glory guild on the Runetotem server felt that my post suited me for TOG, and was kind enough to reply and direct me to this site. Needless to say, I would like to be considered for membership, and I have read the policies and FAQ.

My 'real' name is Blair, and I'm a 37-year-old dude/kid who is married and has a 5-month-old son. I live in Toronto Canada, and work in I.T. for the federal government. By nature I'm friendly and easy-going. I take advice and criticism very well and have no big ego to add drama to the equation. My dad was in the military, and I've lived all over the world (Germany, England, Afghanistan, Pakistan) which probably contributes substantially to my open-mindedness.

I have played all types of games (video and other) for years, but lately just World of Warcraft, which seems to have usurped everything else (although 'Oblivion' is finally out, and it may challenge WoW for my CPU cycles).

My WoW skills are not fantastic, as I've mostly soloed and have no high-end instance experience, although gaining that experience is one of my ultimate goals. I was really disappointed by the general intolerance for the 'n00b' in WoW, and had no luck finding folks to grow my skills with. Hence my original post on the WoW forums which ultimately led me here.

Hopefully my application will be approved, and if so I look forward to gaming with the other members of TOG!

Undoubtedly you want to get started and the best place to start is to visit the main forum for the game in which you are interested, have a read of the sticky posts and other threads that catch your attention.

Introduce yourself and ask any further questions you may have.
You will find other TOG members most helpful if you take the time to aks any questions you may have.

Want to know when the next real life get together is of TOG members, again the lounge room is the place to be.
