Greetings and Salutations - World of Warcraft
My birthday is June 23, 1979 and I have read and agree to abide by the AUP and read the TOG faq. I have both TS and Vent with a high quality (i.e. working) headset and Microphone.
My current game of interest is WoW. I have been playing for quite some time now. I have a level 60 horde druid on a pvp server already in an end-game guild. I have full ZG, AQ20, MC, and BWL experience. We have the first boss in AQ40 on farm status, and haven't attempted the second yet as we are instead getting skill books for our raiding members out of AQ 20 instead. I have spent all of my WoW time with this guild. It is also an adult only guild (18 and up) however, most of the players are in the 18-21 age bracket. I played Guild Wars with this guild before joining them in WoW. They have about 3500 members playing 6 games.
What I'm looking for is:
- another "end game" guild
- membership stability
- friendly people
- alliance guild
- pvp server
- casually competitive group
- I have done 100's of UBRS, LBRS, Scholo, live and UD strat, DM, etc. runs and they are so redundant that I never do them for "fun" anymore. I don't like the trash mobs so much, but I do love the boss fights in MC. I LOVE BWL. It's fun and there aren't too many trash pulls. I'd really like to move on to learning the encounters and seeing the rest of AQ40.
- In my current guild, we have an awful lot of turn-over and instability in membership. It's made it difficult to make friendships. Not only are they leaving the WoW division, but the guild as a whole so I can't play other games with them under our guild tag either.
- I'm an extremely easy-going person. I live by the golden rule as that was the way I was raised.
- I've played a horde character throughout my tenure in WoW. I'm going to have to start over so I'd prefer to do something new.
- 90% of what I do outside of raiding is world pvp. Typically my day of playing goes like this: Come home from work and check yesterday's auctions. Check the AH for good resistance rings at a good price. Head out to farm mats for flasks/greater fire prot pots. After about an hour of farming mats, I then que for AB, WSG, AV and go out seeking world pvp until an BG opens up. 30 minutes before raid time, I stop what I'm doing to make certain I'm ready for the night's raid and head to the appointed place with all equipment repaired. I'd never be able to keep myself interested if I couldn't do world pvp, I don't think.
- I play anywhere from 40 to 80 hours per week. I'm married and have a career that causes me to work weekends or evenings some. I'm a high school band director. I don't want to be kicked out of the guild just for missing a raid because I had to work. I don't want to be a part of a guild who will hold some sort of a grudge because I had to leave an event because my wife is not feeling well. I DO want to be a part of a group who is ambitious enough to weekly improve their members by doing regularly scheduled end-game events. Every week ZG, MC, BWL, AQ is done the entire guild is strengthened by multiple epic items being won and given out. Guild progression is important to me so as not to get stagnant.
My guild currently uses a DKP system which is fair and works very well. You can bid on any item you want. For instance, I can bid on anything I feel is feral or healing related. One of our warlocks recently won a ring that had high intelligence, stamina, and agility. I don't really care how loot is distributed. Obviously, I enjoy making the character that I play better as much as possible, but I assume the guild leaders have a fair system in place of distributing loot or you wouldn't be able to maintain yourself as a raiding guild.
I would like to point out that I will not be leaving my current guild or deleting my character. I've have more than 45 days /played on that character and could never delete him. I will not be splitting my time between two characters indefinitely. Make no mistake that I AM looking for a new home and new family. I'm looking for a new WoW "life". I just don't want to completely seperate ties with some of the friends that I've made over the past year.
After looking back over my post, I hope you can see that I'm very experienced with WoW and also very passionate about finding a good group I can share my experience with as well as spend a lot of quality time getting to know people. I hope that I can find a new home here with TOG. If you have any specific questions please feel free to contact me in anyway. I am finishing a vacation with my in-laws and will return to my home in less than 24 hours.
I'm looking forward to getting to know many TOG members and hoping there is a place for me somewhere in this community.
If you made it this far in my post - thank you very much for your time.
