I am 34 years old and living the dream (wife, child and mortgage) in Sydney, Australia.
There are two reasons for joining an online gaming community (I am uncomfortable with using the term clan!).
- just don’t have the time to trawl through servers trying to find good gaming experiences
- After playing Battlefield 2 for a couple of hours (recent purchase) I realised that if I ever wished to experience real co-operative play – through the squad function – it would only come by me joining a community.
After reviewing a number of ‘clans’, it was with great relief that I came upon this site. How did you know I would be coming? Its philosophy and ethos seems tailor-made!
I agree with AUP and have read the FAQs.
Gaming experience
I started on the VIC-20, where you would wait 20 minutes for a game to load via a cassette recorder (remember holding your breath when you had to turn the tape over to load the B side?), so I have bucket-loads of patience and a real appreciation of what computer games can offer today.
I really enjoy RTS games like the Total War series (will we ever see a total RTS version?) and AOK, AOE and dabble in FPS. While I play Quake and DoD I would like to play BF2 and get a real taste of what it can do!
Cheers,
