Introducing Myself
Hi everyone!
My name is Melissa (aka Missy Jo - real life nickname). I am 30 years old. I found a link to this website on Thee Olde Guarde site when I was applying to join their guild. I've read the rules, faq and the acceptable use policy. I do agree and am happy to abide by them all. I have many years experience as a roleplayer/gamer. My husband and mutual friends got me into RPGs back in high school so that would be 15-16 years ago. He started me out chucking dice on Marvel, AD&D (1st edition) and so forth. WoW is our first online MMORPG but we're having a pretty good time with it so far. We still continue to play our old favorites and a variety of newer table top games with our friends from high school, we're beginning to teach our older kids to play and search for new players in our area. Hubby plays FASA Star Trek with his buddies as well as Magic the Gathering. But I could never really get into those. We're rekindling some AD&D and branching off into new games such as Stargate SG-1 RPG, Everquest I & II (offline, table top dice slinging), and have our eye on a few others. We're also die hard fans of Knights of the Dinner Table. I'm collecting the comics; not for value or as any kind of investment but just for the love of them. Other than RPGs, we've played a variety of video games and board games through the years. Both of us get misty-eyed looking at Ataris and Commodore 64s. *L* We can debate the pros and cons of Centipede, Joust, Pong and the original Donkey Kong vs Baldur's Gate, Throne of Baahl (sp?) and NeverWinter Nights into the wee hours of the morn. *L* Over the years not much has changed. We've all expanded our RPG abilities, became parents and now, instead of playing in the basement, we're buying the house from his parents and building a gaming room! *LOL* That should give you all a pretty good idea of me, my background and gaming experience.
