Another aging gamer here. Just stopped by to say hello and thank you for the opportunity to pollute your public forums with my opinions.

Servers where we may have encountered each other before incluse Solusek Ro, Victory, Kargath, Unrest, and several of the Planetside servers (is it really free now??). I'm one of the many eagerly awaiting Vanguard and from time to time you may see me playing BF as Rumena.

I'm afraid of sticks. Sad but true. I got hit by a nerf bat once and cried. Sure it was soaked in water and left outside to freeze, but that's hardly the point. That plus I'm kinda pledging another prospective VG guild, however I kinda like what I see here and figured I'd swing by and make a nuisance of myself. I followed a link Linolea left on the VG forums, so if you're trying to be secretive I recommend you hit him too.

Heya Web As long as you meet our req's for entry you can be in TOG...there are no requirements that you play in our clans or groups to be a part of the community Just be honest in the divisions so that we can exclude your access to those forums if it's an issue

I read and can abide by the AUP but I get a message that do not have rights to view the Forum Guidelines (didn't I agree to that to create my login acct?) and I've started on the TOG FAQ but am being called away to a meeting. Who wrote the AUP? A lawyer? I almost dozed off halfway through! I'll wrap this up later. Happy trails!

Also the link that Sereth provided took me to http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/...ead.php?t=3917 . I was able to get to the right place by deleting half of the address in my browser, but I can't say why it happened that way. Did it every time I clicked on it. I'm using IE6 at work.

When I try to read the Forum Guidelines I get:

However the AUP and FAQ have been read and I will abide by them (well I kind of browsed the vB portion of the FAQ, I'm familiar with it already).

I'm 42 for a little longer and living in Austin TX where I have a tech job (no names please!). I play BF2 on and off and am currently not active in an MMO *however* I've played a lot of the following games: EQ (years), EQ2, WoW, DAoC, CoH, CoV, BF2/EF, Halo, Quake2, Planetside, UT, UT '04, Far Cry, Warbirds2, probably others. I have played under the names Enkidu, Scorch, Venomous ToadLicker, Rumena, and Webtroll. There are plenty of other games I've played but didn't get into: SWG, AC/AC2, AO, UO, Auto Assault, RYL, probably others here too.

I'd be avail to play weekdays after 5pm and as late as midnight CST (it varies) and on weekends sometimes all day, sometimes not at all. I tend to focus on a game and play it (a lot). But if I'm not focused on a single game (like now) I tend to flit around as my whim dictates. I'll probably avoid obsessing until the release of VG at which time I'll probably schedule a couple of days of vacation so I can get the ooooh! worked out early instead of *cough cough * missing work.

I used to be a musician and I still have a few basses and guitars, even a violin (that I can't play). If you play guitar I have a Paul and a Strat and a couple of 5 string Warwick LXs. A few amps by Ampeg, Mesa Boogie and Tech 21. I enjoy hard rock with a hook; I grew up on Boston and Rush while living in the Caribbean (San Juan PR), I also enjoy King's X, the last Coheed and Cambria, and Alkaline Trio. When not listening to Rock I sometimes listen to classical or eclectic jazz like Bela Fleck (Victor Wooten ftw!).

I do have a college degree that I've never actually used; it seems that communications degrees don't open a lot of doors. Perhaps it's my winning troll-like demeanor. Nah! Majored R/TV and minored in cinematography. After 4 years of that I knew what I didn't want to do for a living.

Anyhoo, that's enough diarrhea of a post, if there's anything specific you'd like to know by all means ask away.
