A Reminder for our Welcoming Committee

For those that missed my other post in this forum - the Admins are requesting help from the regular TOG'ers that enjoy the barracks cruise and welcoming new TOGs.

If you enjoy doing this on a regular basis, the Admin ask you to check the details in the post. We all know the rules - all applicants need to be 25+ years old (or have a spouse/partner who is) and everyone must have read the AUP and agree to abide by it whilst using these forums.

If you see an applicant that wishes to join and meets this criteria, please post a welcome message and rate the thread with

5 stars

This doesn't mean 1 star. Nor 3. It means

5 stars

Try not to give a thread any stars if it already has some. Only give a thread 5 stars if there aren't any already.

This lets the Admin's know which applications have been vetted by our highly professional meeters-n-greaters. The Admins will then bump the thread down to 3 stars. You don't do that - the Admins will.

Of course, if an application is not quite up to scratch, don't give the thread any stars but simply direct the TOG-wannabe in the right direction.

This is effective immediately. That means NOW.

Start vetting, welcoming and rating threads with

5 stars

and help us help TOG.

Just rate the posts that don't have any stars if you can - even if you've already welcomed them - feel free to go back and rate them if you're so inclined.

Thanx for clearing that up, ur mod 'Dogmeat' seems to be fairly efficient as he's given most a 1 star sooo... not too many to go back and rate using the new procedure??!!

I dont like the 5 star method... at a glance i use to beable to tell who was a member and who was still pending...maybe i missed something but what is the new way to tell who's a member without having to read each thread? (besides member search) is there a way we can add ONE star if they just need an admin to toggerize them and 5 stars once they are a member?

No stars means they've just applied.
5 stars means they've passed the test and waiting for an admin.
3 stars means they've been togerised.

3 stars is good.
