directx / do I down load?? oldmate.

this directx microsoft comes up when i go to open COD 2. do I down load this? if not, how do i get rid of it as the main screen will not open.
Can someone help??

It can't say for sure Oldmate but it might be that your verion of Microsoft's DirectX may not be up to the version required to run CoD. Personally I'd download the latest version (I think it's up to 9c now) as I doubt the notification would come up if your current version was the same as or higher than what CoD requires. In the event you can't get an answer that works here, you might want to post up your enquiry in either The Laboratory where the computer wizards hang out or in The Tactical Centre, which is found in the Call of Duty forums.
