TOG - The Older Gamers

Hi everyone. Names Rob and I would like to be considered to join TOG. I am currently 30 years old and living in PA. I read both the AUP and the FAQ and everything sounds A-OK to me.

To give you just a bit of history. I was born in raised in Rhode Island. I left for the Navy at 17 and put in a whopping 12.5 years. In that time I have been all over the world and all over the states as well. Got a few degrees, got married, got divorced, got hospitalized, got shot at, got hit (ducking didnt help

) and all sorts of other little adventures.

I got out a few years ago and moved into the IT world where currently I am a IT department manager for a PA based outsourcing company. I have a son who just turned 2, however sadly he lives with his mom in NC. I am very active in his life though and I talk to him all the time and see him whenever possible.

Lets see, perhaps thats all I will put for now. If I make friends here that will leave books of stuff to uncover later.

As far as games go, I am a RPG type. I am currently playing EQ2 but I bounce around alot. I have also played just about everything out there. I look forward to Vanguard to hopefully bring back the sense of danger and difficulty in the MMORPG world that was almost completely destroyed by WoW. (In my humble opinion of course). I also look forward to Gods and Heroes because I love greek mythology.

I love all games when it comes down to it regardless of the genre. Chess is a huge favorite of mine as well as poker. If its a game and there are players then I am willing to give it a shot.

Lastly, I would like to simply meet some fellow gamers. I like browsing messageboards at work during downtime and enjoy feeling a part of a community. I don't just mean other rpgers, I would love to have new things to try as well. (well, military shooters not so much.... been there, done that, got bulletholes in the tshirt. lol)
