See the set of scales at the bottom of a post - as in this one....
 Click on the scales and you have the chance to 'approve' or 'disapprove' of a persons post together with a comment as to why (or not - comment not mandetory) and therefore 'add to their reputation'. Basically, the 'why' is that it lets other forum folk know that this person has posted a bucket of stuff that's really liked or ..... really not liked  I guess that gives you an idea of the persons reputation.Oh, and you cannot 'spawn camp' spam a person with 'approves' or 'disapproves' - you have to share the love around to others before going to the same person again. Hope that helps
