I <heart> older gamers.
So, I'm Wachow's wife, as previously referenced in his membership post. It's really nice to find that this group exists, as I believe that the rude, locker-room, hateful feel of many online games and guilds are what keep more women from playing.
I MUDded and MUSHed in college, tried to play EQ, City of Heroes, played a little Tribes, and then settled into World of Warcraft when my best friend gave me her 'demo' code and the CDs to install it. The first one is always free, isn't it? <sigh> I'm now thoroughly hooked, with a couple of Horde alts. I also read your AUP and FAQ, and am not nearly as silly about it as my husband.
