TOG - The Older Gamers

I am 51 years old, female and married. We live near Palm Springs in Southern California, USA. My husband and I both play WoW, although he is into heavy end game raiding on the Whisperwind server. I play mainly on the Proudmoore server, with Whisperwind as a backup when Proudmoore is down or laggy. My style of play is somewhat relaxed and involves online pets, bank characters with many bags and lots of conversation! LoL Even so I finally have a level 52 Warlock!

I do belong to a guild other than ToG on Proudmoore and on Whisperwind, although not all of my characters on either are guilded. I am looking into ToG on Proudmoore and have been chatting on the tog channel and getting to know you all!

I have played many variations of D&D with dice and bad snacks in cold garages for years and years and still play occasionally. WoW is my first online mmorpg other than a brief dissappointing try at Everquest (didn't make it past free trial

). I *just* (last night) created a character on Eve and am going slowly through the tutorial. Wow!

I would like to be part of ToG on Eve if you'll have me! Eve is my first space related role play game, although I am a constant fan of all things Trek!

I have heard about this community from several people in WoW and finally came to look at the web site. I have read the rules and regs and the faq and understand and agree to all. It would be very cool if you would allow me to join your community! Thank you for the opportunity to request membership!

Welcome to what I refer to as "The TOG". Once your in there is no escape <insert evil laugh>. One of the admin will stroll along soon and hit you a couple of times with the TOG stick for good measure, thus giving you access to all the forums including the wonderful EVE Online area.

In EVE if you would like some hints and tips try joining the TOG PUBLIC channel in game, a few of us idle in there and are more than willing to help new players out. As soon as your given access to the forums, please drop by the EVE section and follow this thread on how to join the Corp if you feel like EVE is the game for you. I would suggest running missions in empire first and getting to know the game before joining TOG though. Also, make sure you set a long skill training when you go offline in EVE as skills continue to train even when offline or account is disabled. I am going to do this for Battleship to lvl5 when I need a break
