Thanks for the welcome. I am looking mainly at
WoW but I also have my eye on Vanguard, Pirates of the Burning Sea, and LotRO. I also think Mass Effect is going to be awesome but that's not multiplayer.
A brief history of my MMO experience:- UO 1998. It was fun due to it's groundbreaking nature. But too many griefers and exploits ruined it for me.
- EQ 1999-2004: Awesome game. Played on the Karana server and was very active in a guild alliance. Dabbled in AO, DAOC, SWG, AC, & Shadowbane among others during this period.
- EQ2 2004-2006: Ok game.
I'm super casual. Will likely only play for an hour or two late in the evenings during weeknights and occasionally sneak in longer stints. I'm 42 with a wife and two toddlers so my free time is limited but I still very much enjoy MMO gaming.
As for WoW... I looked down on it for a long time because I considered the graphics way too cartoony. However, now that I'm actually in the game playing, it's gorgeous. I can't believe I wasted so much time grinding in EQ2 when I could have been playing WoW

I think it'll be a great casual game for me and I hope to meet up with like-minded folks.
Sounds reasonable. Read and Agreed.
