Application to join TOG (Guild Wars) - Taros Genoth
I'm 35, and live practily in the middle of Nebraska. I Live out on a farm. And work as an EMT for a local fire dept. Being a rural area, there isn't always a lot going on for a medic. Also the fact my schedule is 3 on, 4 off... I have a lot of free time, so I get to game fairly often.
I grew up actually in the same area I am living today. After HS I went into the Navy, and became a medic, and was assigned to a Marine Corp unit as a field medic. After the Navy I went to college, and got a History degree, becaue I had always been facinated about History and Historical events. After graduating, I realized, I really didn't really want to work in any fields relating to it, found out that the fire dept where I grew up needed an EMT, I went and applied, did my training for certification, and I was back to what I do best.
*side note, when I'm on call I could have to go at a moments notice (not that it gets all that hopping where I live).
I've been gaming since HS, RPing, computer gaming. My first MMO was Dark Age of Camelot. I've also play Planetside(still go there occassionally), Guild Wars (where I first joined TOG), WoW. I'm into mountain biking, hiking and camping, and skiing.
In Guild Wars I'd say my most complete character is my monk. I mostly play a healing monk. But am working on learning the nuances of running Protection also. I just got through the last mission on my Dervish. And now am working my Monk and a Paragon through, off and on while saving up some for a Dervish Primeval set. I also have a 20Warrior, 20Assassin, I've had a 20 Ele but deleted them, and I am unlocking a few skills for Ranger and Necro for my heroes, I might keep the Ranger, heh.
Gamestyle, I'm usully playing my monk in groups, or secondary tank. So I am usually support or melee. Trying to work out a support setup for dervish I watched in a guild exibition match.
I saw the write up about TOG on the Guild Wars main site, then the FAQ and forum guildlines and thought, Finally a guild for me!!! And accept the the guidlines.
Right now my schedule is flexible. But most evenings US CST time when I'm on.
I hope you will consider me for membership. Thank you.
