Hello TOG.
I'm 34 years old and have read your FAQ and agree with AUP. My parents were never kind enough to buy us an Atari, but I do remember riding my bike down to the arcade to spend hours playing Asteroids, Galaxia, and Joust. Then came Donkey Kong that worked with a quarter on a string.....I was a bad boy and I feel guilty about that one to this day (especially since I never really liked that game). After high school I realized I could easily be video game junkie, so in a Herculean effort to prevent a wasted life I went cold turkey for about 15 years through college, grad school, postgrad training and the start of my career. I bought Guild Wars on a whim a little over a year ago and my gaming hiatus is over. I have a beautiful wife of 10 years who is quite disgusted with my new hobbie, and 3 wonderful tikes. Now that I'm responsible for a family I've had to curtail my more physically dangerous hobbies, and since I don't much like golf......I have no choice but to play video games. I'm in California and am usually on most nights after the kids/wife are asleep. That's my time to relax. I enjoy PVE in all 3 GW campaigns, though still like prophecies the best. Lately, I've been doing mostly PvP in the Arenas and a bit in HA, but I don't really like spending a lot of time trying to assemble a group and the attitude and maturity level of most pvp players gets tiresome. I saw the TOG feature on GW web site and love the idea. |
