TOG - The Older Gamers

well, i have to say, i've been playing online games for a few years now and i've been severely limited in my group because i can't stand the anonymity jerks...you know, the person who is probably really nice and courteous in real life, but as soon as they get online and start shooting it's "noob" this and "pwoned" that (did i even spell that right...i have no idea). i really have a problem with those folks. so, it is with much hope and great relish that i request to be included in a group of possibly like minded fogies...i mean folks (wink wink) who desire more than just some online crushage.

a bit about myself. my real name is Jake Geissinger. i'm 33. I am married (three years) and have three children (Christopher 5, Kala 2, Michael Anthony 18mnths). I live in a tiny two bedroom condo that feels like a palace because i own it...or at least a little tiny bit of it...the bank owns the rest. i work for a national membership organization in the nation's capitol...so i also hate politics. i play a lot of RTS, but not online because of the above sentiment (if you play warcraft III, me and a friend would love to hook up). i also play a few FPSs, but not many. i have a PS2 (no network) and am currently playing God of War, which is simple, but very visceral...if you know what i mean. outside of the digital realm, i play ultimate frisbee, soccer and go rock climbing whenever i can. i am theatrically trained and miss it terribly.

that's my life in a paragraph. i have a website, but it's almost a year old, so i'm not going to link it until i can update it...sorry. what else can i say? oh, right! i'm interested in the Guild Wars guild. i recently purchased Prophesies and LOVE IT! so, i was hoping to hook up with some folks who can show me the post-searing ropes. my first character (why are they called 'toons'?) is a monk/ranger named Kala Trinity. in light of the recommendation, i think i'm going to make all of my characters' surnames be Trinity. i'm going to make another character and call him Damon Trinity, hopefully.

generally i game in the evenings from around 8pm ET to 10-11pm ET. on friday and saturday, i'm likely to be up until 12 or 1, but not necessarily always. i can't play during the day, usually because i feel bad leaving my wife alone with three kids.

so, that's what i got. here's hoping i 'qualify'
