Hi, I'm a 30 year old from Sweden. A friend of mine is a member of ToG and suggested that I joined. I'm a casual gamer, playing when I have the time which unfortunately isn't as often as I would like to.

The last couple of years my impression has been that most game developers has put all their focus on graphics instead of playability and the "fun factor". I can still enjoy old classics from the nineties even though their graphics isn't the best. This focus on graphics only, meant that I would have to upgrade my PC to often, without the games actually being better than the once I already played, so instead I've used consoles the last couple of years (own a bunch of them). Once you own them you never have to upgrade.

Lately more and more games has been released that actually are FUN and not just gorgeous, so I decided that it was time to buy a new monster PC and take up gameing on the PC. And so, here I am....

A plan to play strategy games (medieval 2 will be the first), try to get into one FPS (unsure which is the best but BF2 will be the first that I try since I loved 1942) and I will also glance at the MMORPG market. If anyone has suggestions for games, especially MMORPG's feel free to share. I think I'm looking for a game where levels aren't as important as skill and/or personality. Playing for levels and kit isn't something I want to do.. If the game is pretty it doesn't hurt since I put way to much $$$ into my new rig and might as well use it. I'm in no hurry though, I prefer finding THE MMORGP than wasting time jumping around. =)

Oh.. almost forgot, I read the AUP, FAQ and forum/server guidelines.

Hope to see atleast some of you around on the servers in the future!!!

Welcome to TOG Sealjo, you have fulfilled the initial requirements and in time an admin will be along to review and approve the application. You will then free to find the forum of your game of choice.
Instead of BF2, if FPS is the go, come down and check out the Americas Army forums, a truly unique FPS experience.
Once again, welcome.

Thanks Badhead. I'll have a look at AA as well. Looking for a game where team tactics is more important than being able to place that head shot. No idea where AA ranks but I'll try it!
