TOG - The Older Gamers

OK, first the business details:

I have read the FAQ, AUP Guidlines, Stickies and legal stuff...
I live in Portland, Oregon, Pacific Standard Time (Actually, now I live in Vancouver Washington just over the river/state border but Portland's been my home for so many years it's hard to give up saying so.)

My husband is currently a member of the guild and has been harangueing me to make a decision on applying.

To his great surprise I am doing so. I am not what I would consider a huge gamer, in fact, however when I do game I take it quite seriously; I want to have fun, and I have had some bad experiences with guilds in the past. After reading the FAQ, and several of the posts, I determined that this is actually a really good choice for me.

My past gaming experience started with my 2nd generation Atari, I loved Lode Runner, and my sweet husband has made it so that I can run a copy on my current PC. Gotta love those emulators.

I am mostly a board game freak...but I did play EQ, and Guild Wars for a while. I visually have a hard time with the 1st person shooters, and I don't really like war games...and yet I am drawn to the killing in WoW (go figure). I perfer RTS games. (And my husband will really be proud of me for saying RTS...when he reads this...I think he is trying to geek me out

)

Aside from all that, I deeply enjoy camping, fishing, cooking, flying sport kites, reading, board and card games, and the SCA. The SCA- a medieval society is in fact where I know many of the people who are already in TOG

But Dancing is my 2nd and only love after that of my husband.

Sorry Mate,

I thought my age was verified when I entered my birthdate to create the log-in.

I wish I were ONLY 25....but I am definitely older

....Thanks for the reminder

I can remember when Carter was President...how's that for age verification
