Hi all,

After playing regular on the TOG AU servers for quite some time now, I thought to join TOG was a good New Year's resolution.
Some personal background . I am 37 years old. I was born in Den Helder, Holland but emigrated to Melbourne, Oz a few years ago.
I have been gaming since I was about 11 . I got hooked on FPS a decade later when Wolfenstein came out. Generally as long as it is in WWII and fairly realistic , I am usually in for it. At the moment I play the FPS COD2 and Battleground Europe most, before that played Rome Total War, Combat Mission, Airborne Assault and IL2 Sturmovich. Weapon of choice is the K98.
Interests:
- German Forces in WWII , don't know why, I just got drawn to the Germans.
- Battle of Arnhem / Operation Market Garden . A Bridge too Far was the first war book I ever read. My parents are from Eindhoven and I also lived for a while where in 1944 were the landing grounds of 101st .
- Scale modelling / Game modding. I've put these two together as I regard modding as a the transistion from my plastic scale models . I no longer have the required workspace for spray painting, etc but I do have a PC so I stepped into making virtual models. I've been working for a while in a mod team for MOH and COD with for Operation Market Garden . The mod itself was never finished due to my emigration but I hope to pick it up one time again. I can do some basic skinning and I have worked with 3d modelling in the past . Hopefully I can pick that up again soon ( another New Year resolution )

Explanation of the name & signature
NIJN = the Dutch name for Miffy the Rabbit which was my nickname during my student years( don't ask) . Combined with -rich to make it sound German. I've started off with Panzer Nijnrich but it shortened to Nijnrich during the years.
"Trotzdem siegen Wir" = roughly "Despite all, we will win". Written on the side of a knocked out German Hetzer tank, located at Bastogne Historical Museum. As I am pretty stubborn....

Anyway enough about me I would say. I hope I can join TOG and to add some value somewhere somehow.

I have read the AUP and FAQ and forum rules etc etc..

Hi, welcome to the TOG Forums.
Nijnrich, you need to read the Join Stickies and state in this post that you agree to the AUP and FAQ.
Then an admin can review and approve your application.
In advance, Welcome to TOG!

Okido, I changed original message. I thought it was part of the forum registration.
Matz, I've heard of RO. Saw some screenies but got turned off by the pics of Tig I. How is gameplay, any good?
