TOG - The Older Gamers

Greetings!

I'm Perry from the Netherlands, 26 years of age and I've been playing GW for about 8 months or something. I play tons of other games, my all time classic favorite is Doom2, but really, I like almost every type of game.

At first, I joined just about any guild that asked, but after each consecutive guild that just recruits for the sake of numbers without ANY screening whatsoever I realised I might never find any suitable guild.

When I bought GW I actually hoped to find either roleplaying area's or guilds, but it seems those are virtually nonexistant. At least I never found any in these months. I did saw a thread on guildguru about rp districts but that was a thread from 2005. So I kinda gave up on finding a place where I can roleplay, I'd just settle for a well-organized guild without people that go like 'can someone give me 1.5k?'. Not that I mind helping, not at all! I enjoy helping others out with quests or missions, I just don't like solo-artists in guilds, who never say a word, and when they do, they BEG!

It might sound a bit frustrated but I'm really not that keen on being in a guild anymore. I just heard from an ex-guildie, Jia, that he found what I was looking for. So I'd thought I'd go and give it a try.

I mainly play PvE, but I like AB too. I take joy out of helping new players, or old players, through tough parts of the game. I still haven't bought NF since I haven't even finished Prophecies, because I started out in Factions.

Hah! About time you applied, Perry!

I know that the TOG guild is exactly what you've been looking for, you're only going to regret that you haven't joined sooner,

Anyway, once a mod has approved your application, head over to the Guild Wars section of the forums, and check out this post to decide which guild you'll like to join (all TOG guilds are in the same alliance, and we only use the alliance chat, so it really doesn't make much of a difference which guild you join). Note that the "Templars of Older Gamers" guild is currently the one with the most Europeans though.
