G’day all,

First off, well I am embarrassed I haven’t joined before, how did I miss seeing you guys? Senility setting in early I guess.

Ok first the MUST do stuff:

1. You are over 25 years of age.

Turned 37 a few days ago (14th Jan), oh my god I’m getting close to 40! I have already put a deposit down on a red sports car, got my appointment for hair replacement therapy, ordered some Viagra online and on the lookout for a 20something girl friend.

2. You have read the AUP & FAQ

Printed them out and read them on the toilet this morning.

3. You have read the forum/server guidlines.

Printed them out and read them at work when I was supposed to be writing a report for my CEO.

Right, that’s done, now a bit about myself:

Born in Auckland New Zealand and immigrated to Australia at a young age. Went to school on the Sunshine Coast (Qld) and then UofQ in Bris-Vegas. Worked up and down the eastern coast from Sydney to Townsville for a large electronics retailer. Then in 2001 moved to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to work for a huge local company, initially in their Retail Division and more recently as Marketing Divisional Manager for a leading Japanese Consumer Electronics brand. I was married and divorced in my 20’s and have a son who is 14yo and lives with his mum back in Oz (also a gamer!).

Had my first computer, a VIC-20 back in 82? I think. Then upgraded through the Commodore range up to the C-128 before my first PC. Played consoles now and then but much prefer the PC. Most gaming hours would be on sims (Flight sim) but when not pretending to be an airline pilot I’m blasting away on shooters. Last few years been playing the Battlefield franchise and from Christmas I’ve been getting my butt kicked on BF2142

Like most here, family, friends and work dominate my time but try to get an hour of gaming in each day after work. I seem to do better if I pretend the opposition is the people I was negotiating with earlier in the day… or my boss.. you know how it goes. Don’t mind a beer or two while playing either, that might explain my scores sometimes.

Ok, this is starting to look like a rant so I’ll stop here and await with baited breath acceptance into TOG.

BTW, I just turned 40 on Jan 14 myself (it's not so bad).

No mate, Shaun Sullivan in my full name. Quite a few Aussies and Kiwi's out here, but not come across a Clarke in the industry. Any idea what company hes working at?
