Joining TOG for Guild Wars
Im 38. I work 50+ hours week in a computer store, trying ot get people on the phone to click on the Start Bar. And people wonder why I play GW at night and wipe out entire regions of red dots ...
I run a local LAN group and its there we play all the RTS and FPS, but online these days its just been GW. I aquired a total of 5 accounts from really bored ex-players hoping id get my LAN group to play. Even had a bored Guild Leader pass Guild Hall control to me. One night, without telling me. Tried playing with "locals" online, but everyone seems to be busy being busy. Hell, I even offered money ...
The guild my primary toon is in is "locals" (again) but you all know how it is, it sounds easy in theory, then RL makes it impossible, hell I been offline 3 months in the last 6 when my ISP played silly buggers with me. Lack of people online and the fact that im bored (after 20 months) of soloing means I needed another angle.
Anyway, quick search on Google, you guys came up. I thought, hell, this looks interesting, maybe I can even convince them that Mechwarrior 4 is "The Game" ...
EDIT:
I re-read the faqs, and noticed the bright red bit mentioning "state you understand the conditions". Answer is "yes I have", and its probably the only "EULA" i had actually actually ever read in months (i skip the MS ones).
Note: For goodness sake, please dont think this is critical of me, im just making an observation:
My vision, is screwy. one eye is so bad that if i shut the good one, I cant even read what im typing right now, my 3D is screwed, and even LCD brightness levels will eventually give me bad headaches; in the FAQ you have, mixing in lots of bright colours, to me, cause almost instant insanity, its really hard to focus on the flow, as no normal document is ever formatted that way, If I made it pink on yellow to you guys it might have the same effect. Im about to cut-paste all the FAQs, strip the colour and re-read them. I should have done that before, cuase its still possible I missed something. if I did, expect an "EDIT 2".
