TOG - The Older Gamers

Hi guys/gals,

just wondering if TOG has many players in Australia playing CSS/DOD-Source .. or if you guys play any RTS games either.

Had a quick look through your boards and it looked like you were mainly into MMORPGs and a couple of FPS nowadays. Is this correct?

The reason I ask is that I'm interested in joining up with TOG. I've been around the traps for a LONG time, and am part of the social group AOB (angry old bastards). Unfortunately the online gaming side of AOB has been somewhat eviscerated by the MMORPGs, and I'm keen to find some other older gamers to have the odd game with. I play under Gaping_MAW when playing deathmatch games e.g. HL DM, but use the handle Scoobs in just about everything else.

I'm based in Brisbane, and currently play Day of Defeat a lot, and Company of Heroes, ... and generally favour FPS and RTS games, if I can game with a group which aren't moronic young fools (like we all were when we were young moronic fools

).

So, is ToG the place for me?

Now let me see, do we play DODS, yes mate I think you've come to the right place as we certainly do.

If you're still keen to join, please have a read through this Sticky. Once you've done that and can meet the entry requirements, post back here with the necessary info and the Admins or Mods will look after you from there.

Yep, read through all of that. Happy to join up if you lot will have me. I'm well and truly over 25.. sheesh I barely remember that age

, I think I was playing the original CS beta somethingerother then, and diablo 2 was just released.. I think.

The times of day I can squeeze a game in vary quite a bit, but I'm sure it'll work out.

Edit: Hope you guys prefer +FF servers

welll.. I used to play CoD-UO.. and liked it a lot in fact, but when COD2 came out without the mp features of UO, I gave it away. And what's with COD3 being a console only thing, bah!
