BF3 preorders vs COD:MW3?

Battlefield 3's pre-order numbers are "roughly comparable" with those of Call of Duty: Black Ops, according to industry analyst firm Cowen & Company.

That's pretty good news for BF3 fans, imho you'll have a bigass playing field of potential frags under your crosshairs.

It'd be nice to see breakdowns between the PC versions. I haven't ordered yet, I'm still holding out hope it'll somehow show up on Steam before committing to getting it from Origin's game service. So for me, no hurry since I won't be purchasing a physical copy.

Let me get this right

• 2142 was under hyped and giggled at by the so called "leet players" but it had enough depth of gameplay to keep punters happy for 4 + years.
• BF2 was hyped but had the goods to back it up as a long term release.
• BFBC2 was an engine trial whose popularity caught the Devs by surprise.

I will take game play over hype any day.
