Unhappy Game disconnected: could not join server.

Hi guys,
sorry to post about what is no doubt the subject of many an angry topic, but is there any word on a fix for the "Game disconnected: could not join server" issue.

I have tried all the noob fixes like:
- disabling UnPNP on modem and Windows
- updating punkbuster
- deleting pb folder and re-installing pb from scratch
- uninstalling and re-installing Origin and BF3
- swearing

Frustratingly, I was up and running (even post patch) but now (with no apparent change) always get the same error message.

Am I missing something?

Cheers,
Kaiser74 (aka NibblyWombat)

Its a common enough issue and many have found that using a different browser or reinstalling the battlelog plugin helps. The plugin is compatible with Chrome, Firefox and IE so you have all the choices, I would start with this.

You could try re-enabling UPnP on the router.

I'd say check your NAT settings and firewalls. It sounds like you've got ports blocked or something. UPnP might help get around that temporarily but can be problematic.

See Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model - PortForward.com for how to forward the right ports.

Also disable your AV before you open up battle log, i had all kind of drama's with mine, Avast, if i disabled it i could play no problems, other wise i got drop out rubber banding so on.

Yeah I was using AVG free but got rid of it because it got too big and annoying.

I switched to Microsoft Security Essentials. Have not had a single issue with it.
