Ranked Dedicated Servers for Black Ops 2

Hi all,

Treyarch being true to form as the new Call of Duty "good guys", have confirmed yesterday that Black Ops 2 will feature RANKED dedicated servers, not just unranked dedicated servers like MW3.

Given how much I loved Black Ops, and how much I loath matchmaking in MW3 I'm very excited that BO2 will give us that dedicated server control and sense of community we've missed so badly for the last 6 months.

I dont really get twitter but here are the "tweets" (is that how you say it?)

You can also find a news article here, but I think they are confused about the ranked unranked thing as they claim that the "ranked" part hasnt been confirmed even though the tweets clearly state "ranked" dedicated servers.

As much as I'll believe it when I see it this is awesome news. MW3 is the first CoD I haven't played day in day out - thank god for BO1, MW1 & BF3

Hopefully sounds like I'll be back in the fold come November

While I know it was a different team that put out MW2, I recall moments where Dedi's were confirmed then not confirmed before the abomination that was IWNet, unleashed.

This franchise has lost all good will for me, I'm in the 'I won't believe it until I see it..' camp.

I can see me picking up a Russian key again for this one.

Treyarch were always true to form, and the speculation was never from the company about dedi servers, it was from the press, the fans and anyone else with an opinion.

How bout a server browser that is actually user friendly....like that has a REGION FILTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

i shoudn't need to tell them to include something that their competitor has given to customers for about 10 years
