All the Multiplayer info you can poke a stick at
Hi all,
Well the flood gate's have well and truly opened this week in regards to Multiplayer info, we've been given the new class system, weapons details, attachments, how the killstreaks will work, new game type's and how the in game scoring system works. There's simply too much to list so I'll put the basics down here and link the sites at the bottom for more info if you feel like reading it all. There's allot of info here but all in all I think they've simplified it allot from MW3. Killstreaks dont have 3 tiers to choose from, no more weapon proficiency, no more death streaks, you've got 10 points to play with then creating a class, overall I think it looks great but time will tell how the game itself actually plays. The major things to note: RCXD's are definitely back, this time they are called RCC's. Perks no longer effect your gun, only attachments effect the performance of your gun. ie there is no quickdraw or steady aim perk. Blind-Eye are Ghost have been split again like there were in MW3. The great thing is that they only work when you are moving. So if you like to camp then your shit out of luck sorry guys. Killstreaks are now scorestreaks and you can earn points by attempting bomb plants, capturing domination points and all that stuff. There's no support of specialist killstreaks in BO2, just the one killstreaks list containing 22 killstreaks. Weapon proficiency's no longer exist, all weapon modifications are through attachments. As rumoured create a class is now setup using 10 points, each item uses 1 point such as 1 perk, 1 grenade, 1 primary, 1 secondary until you've used up all your 10 points. New thing called Wildcards that give you a little bit of flexibility with your 10 points to set up a class (see below for wildcard options) Guns Assault rifles Type 25 M8A1 SA-58 SIG556 SCAR-H AN-94 SMR Shotguns M1216 Saiga-12 R-870 MCS LMG LSAT QBB LSW Mk 48 Sniper Rifles DSR 50 SVU-AS Ballista SMG MP7 Chicom CQB PDW-57 Skorpio EVO III MSMC Specials Assault Shield (Metal riot shield that can be planted into the ground as makeshift cover) Secondary Launchers FHJ-18 AA (Vehicle lock-on, two rockets) RPG SMAW Pistols KAP-40 Tac-45 Executioner B23R Lethal Slot Grenade Semtex Combat axe Claymore C4 Bouncing Betty Attachments Reflex sight ACOG sight Target Finder (Paints red squares around hostiles) Hybrid Optic Suppressor Fast Mag Fore Grip Laser Sight Adjustable Stock Quickdraw Millimetre Scanner Grenade Launcher Select Fire Mode FMJ Rounds Extended Clip Tactical slot Black Hat PDA (Get close to enemy equipment and point this data pad at it to hack it and turn it against enemies. Takes ages to hack though!) Hi all,
Some more interesting bits of info on Black Ops 2 Multiplayer, once again the info they have released all sounds awesome, like they are actually listening for a change. Still no word on what kind of server control we'll have. If you cbf reading it all then the best bits are: No more deathstreaks, but a "Revenge Voice" instead. No more Last Stand, Final Stand, Second chance in any way shape or form. This has to be one of the best pieces of news I've heard about BO2 :) Killstreaks loop around, if you reach the max killstreak then it loops to the beginning and you start again. You can earn the same killstreak again as long as you used it the first time around. In other words, you dont need to die to re-set your killstreak count. Aggressive players gain more points than defensive players, ie you get more points for capturing a flag in CTF than you would if you were defending one. Seems as if there is unlimited sprint in BO2. There is a new system for unlocking gear as you gain levels and prestiges via use of tokens, 1 token unlocks 1 thing. get to 55 levels and you'll have received 55 tokens. When you prestige you get a token than lets you permanently unlock 1 item for every prestige afterwards. Much the same as "unlock gear" in MW3. Read on for the full story Quote:
