Default Question - 1st or 3rd person?

hi guys

when playing, do you use 1st or 3rd person views? TBH, I only discovered the 3P view last night (doh!) whilst button mashing trying to change classes, then I couldn't stop using it! I did find it difficult to get good accuracy on vert swings (my fav with the axe) but it gave me better all round awareness than in 1P.

Just interested....

I didn't even know that you could access 3P... I guess it would give you a slight unfair advantage over those using FPS.... whats the key?

lol okay, glad I'm not the only one...I think its L by default. And I understand it, its always been available, just that most peeps probably don't know its there.

As I said, its not necessarily a big advantage (I still got my @ss handed to me lol) because what you gain in awareness you lose in accuracy. Give it a try and let me know which you prefer.

It's P by default and go can keep pressing it to toggle between 3 distances behind you and back to 1stpv.

Oh...and 1stPv all the way...Much better block control and vert aim.

Its P and L :P

P cycles the camera between the views, whereas L just switches between 1st and 3rd.

I had a quick play wit the different views and I do prefer 1st, but I can see that 3rd could be useful.

I played about 2 hrs last night (on the Sparta server...free for all...so much fun in the arena) and ended up alternating between both - I found that using the 3P view, my swings were actually going above the head of the opponent! lol...I then had to correct and got more kills. 3P is good when swinging but for prods/pokes/thrusts/whatever its called...1P is the way to go.

I'm likening the normal objective maps to 1 day cricket and the FFA or DM matches in the arena (like the Sparta server) to 20/20 cricket.....no long runs only to die...spawn/kill/die or spawn/die...rinse and repeat.
