Here are some articles I found about some guy who criticized GTA4 and another who actually interviewed some of the reviewers who gave it a perfect score despite its flaws. Honestly the guy gave it an 85 I would have gone with a 90.

I would have rated it around 90% Combat could be improved a lot. But the game is massive which is a big plus. IMO COD4 is better than GTA4.
