TOG Wallpaper

Greetings fellow Consolers,

I was scrolling through the Wallpaper offerings on the XBL and PSN the other day an a couple of things occurred to me;

• Console Wallpapers are getting expensive these days
• There is no one Wallpaper that "suits me"

Then a voice in my head (Hmmm, I should see someone about that ... I get quite a few voices in my head ) said "Hey! Wouldn't it rock hard if we had a TOG based wallpaper for the PS3 and XBOX?

I said to the voice; "You know your right, that would rock hard ... but we have a problem ... I am not the best at doing graphics."

Then the voice said; "Yeah but if you challenge the Console dudes on TOG to come up with their version of a TOG console wallpaper we may end up with many hard rocking versions of a TOG console wallpaper to chose from!"

I responded to the vice; "Great idea! I will post up the request as soon as I get on my PC!"

The voice than said; "Excellent ... now go fix us a Scotch and dry!"

So I did!




... Oh I almost forgot ...

Anyone up for the challenge of making up some TOG Console Wallpapers for the XBOX and PS3?

Side note: Anyone know the size required for a 1080p wallpaper?

Edit: They can be 1920x1080 max. (But leave room at the edges as 1 - 1.5cm of picture seems to disappear according to what I have read?)

I'll take that challenge.

I've long had it in mind to create a TOG PS3 theme. (complete with icons...)
And now that we have a "new" defacto TOGcc logo......

...I'll add it to the list of TTD

Exellent post....I was wondering what the used area of the picture was, and i was much to lazy to experiment for hours attempting to find the perfect size myself lol, so that is a great Youtube post. Thanks

Y'know what'd rock even harder than a TOG wallpaper?


TOG PS3 Theme (with 7 different wallpapers - 4005Kb)
edit: the preview above doesn't look like the icons line up properly, but they do on my 1080p display
Below are the 7 wallpapers I used/designed, they will display at random when the PS3 boots:

I can't (and won't) take credit for the backgrounds used in images 2,3,5 and 6, nor the two images that went together to make wallpaper 4. I found them on the 'net and flipped/stretched/cropped them to suit, before adding the TOG logos and text.
FWIW, designs 3 and 7 are my favourites.
