New twisted Metal was also just confirmed to end Sony's E3 show, exclusive to the platform.

I don't think I've played a vehicle combat game since Vigilante 8 2nd offense. Well I did play the Auto Assault beta but it's best just to forget about that.

Multiplayer looked pretty fun, hope they have an MP beta so I can see what it's like.

Never thought twisted metal was that big a deal - To me the series has always been a bit of a joke.

For this to be the major 'surprise' of Sony E3 was a major disappointment to myself

That's the entire point of Twisted Metal. It's about people in crazy vehicles doing crazy stuff while trying to kill each other. Putting a serious spin on that would just be, well, you've seen the movie Deathtrack right?
