Honestly, I kinda wanted Kinect to succeed in spite of my dislike for it, but with ad compaigns like this MS seem intent on making evil cynical Drac the next leader of the free world.

Trying to figure our what scares me more?

1) How stupid I would look bouncing around in front of my TV if I ever used this peripheral?
2) Kinect may be so expensive the poor girl in video two had to hock her shoelaces so the family could buy it.
3) How everyone grins at each other in that creepy "forced" style while using or communicating with Kinect.
4) The dude wearing the pink poodle outfit in video three.
or
5) Making evil cynical Drac the next leader of the free world. (Implying that it will no longer be the "Free world"? )

Ewww, looks sluggish and cumbersome.
Count me out of the bleeding edge on this one, I think it will be really good in a few years time but until it starts replacing the remote in new TV's I'll just step back and allow it time to mature.
